FP Letters to the Editor: Caribou threatened by logging

Peter Foster remains alarmed by Greenpeace’s science-based advocacy for responsible forestry and conservation in Canada. But his claims that woodland caribou are not “under any realistic threat” must be countered with the facts: listed as threatened by both the federal government and provincial governments across the country, this Canadian icon faces a very real and present danger. Resolute Forest Products’ logging and road building in off-limit areas under the now-defunct Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement is a particular threat, with rampant industrial activity in remaining caribou habitat.
